The Gas Industry Advisory Commitee is an independently operating organization under the Association of Friends and Sponsors of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg e.V.
The objectives of the Gas Industry Advisory Commitee are

Current research projects
- Condensate accumulation - Continuous measurement according to DIN EN ISO 6570
- Avoidance of gas losses and methane emissions during the (re)commissioning of pipeline sections by using vacuum pumps
- Influence of hydrogen components in natural gas on the fuel control components of thermoprocessing plants

Final reports
The final reports of the projects from 2019 on
- Practical test - Effects of H2 admixture on formaldehyde emissions from natural gas CHPs against the background of the newly implemented 44th BlmSchV
- Effects of climate change on regional natural gas sales in Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt
- Investigation of the behaviour of existing plants (heating and CHP appliances) under high, volatile hydrogen quantities (0-40 vol.%) in natural gas
were completed.

- Avoidance of methane emissions through the use of vacuum pumps
- Influence of hydrogen content in natural gas on components of DIN EN 746-2
were completed.

- Influence of hydrogen in natural gas on components of the gas installation
